September favourites 2017

30 days has September, and haven't they gone fast! I have discovered/rediscovered  quite a lot this September so I thought it only right to share them with you. So, my chum, shall we get started?

1. Gossip Girl
I have started watching Gossip Girl this September and I have just started Season 3. It can become quite repetitive/boring at the start but you have to just power through and  get to the really good bits (Exhibit 1: Chuck and Blair). It's basically about a bunch of super rich kids in High School and there's this blog called Gossip Girl (obvs)  that talks about what's happening in people's lives. It sounds very teen but I know a lot of adults that love it.

2. Holding Up The Universe by Jennifer Niven
I actually started reading this book on holiday in summer but I was determined not to join the hype because I didn't want to seem generic. Ok, I have to eat my words on that one because this book is SO GOOD. It's about a boy Jack with prosopagnosia (face blindness) and a girl Libby whose mum died and she was lifted out of her house as 'America's Fattest Teen'. It's a heart warming story and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

3. Gingerbread Maple Yankee candle
This candle is Autumn and winter in a candle to me. It's like a gingerbread man that's been dipped in maple syrup. That sounds a tad odd but it's amazing and the perfect mix of spicy and sweet. It fills the whole room with it's scent and it's honestly my favourite candle (which is saying A LOT).

4. Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in the shade 08
I loved this last winter and I recently rediscovered it. It's such the perfect mauve nude and it's perfect for if you want to wear a colour on your lips but you don't want it to be too out there. It isn't matte so it does transfer and wear off through  the day but not excessively and I tend to touch it up once or twice a day. Because of its creamy formula, it is quite moisturising so it's great for a kind of every day look but you could also wear it as an evening colour as it is that deep shade.

5. Estee Lauder Sumptuous Knockout mascara
I have this product in a mini because I wanted to try it out before getting a full sized one but the mini size is actually quite reasonable. I love this because you can make it completely natural by just one small coat or you can make your eyelashes look like fake lashes with a few. It doesn't smudge but is quite hard to get off at night so it can be a challenge. I think this might be my new favourite.

6. Pumpkin Cranberry Cider Pocketbac
I love Bath & Body Works Pocketbacs and when I got this one for Christmas I was extremely excited. I loved it but it was not really the right time to use it in winter as I preferred to use 'Fresh Sparkling Snow'. But now it's Autumn I am fully embracing this hand gel. It smells exactly like the title: Pumpkin based but with a kind of sugary layer that I totally love but others will hate because of its sweetness.

7. Gingerbread Green Tea
I beg you, please go and try some of this stuff - Its life changing. As you have probably guessed, gingerbread might just be my favourite taste and scent. So when my mum pointed this out to me I was like yesyesyesyesyesssss. It tastes like you are sipping actual ginger bread. It's quite hard to describe so I'm just going to tell you you need this and leave it at that.

8. Autumn Leaves by Ed Sheeran
This is actually 1 of 3 songs I have to share with you. As you could probably tell from the name, this song puts me in a very Autumnal mood and is also a very cute love song (which is a common theme in my playlists). It's slow but not boring and I think it's so beautifully written.

9. Helplessly by Tatiana Manaois
This song is extremely catchy and cute so it gets stuck in my head all day. I love the tune and the style as it's acoustic.

10. Million Miles Away by Keegan Allen
I originally found this as the artist played Toby in Pretty Little Liars. It's about how much he loves someone even though he's far away from them and I just think it's so cute.
